Capital Grille NYC Review

I’m such a creature of habit and I love consistency. Despite the unlimited restaurant choices in NYC, I always end up at The Capital Grille. It’s a central location, right next to Grand Central so I can easily hop on the subway afterwards and take the ‘S’ to a Broadway show or head to the Chelsea Market area 😉 The bartenders here make you feel like you’re an old friend, the entire staff is knowledgeable and they always go above and beyond. But more importantly, the food is phenomenal!

First time at a steakhouse, definitely a mini foodie. She’s so awesome at restaurants, just hangs out people watching and looks at all the deliciousness. I thought they’d be snooty about bringing a baby, not at all…they loved her! As long as you feed them, bring activities, let them nap…babies can go to every restaurant with you! It’s not an excuse to never go out!

Amuse bouche, spicy mango ceviche

The crab was very fresh and a healthy appetizer

Porterhouse steak with their famous mashed potatoes (still trying to recreate their recipe!!) This steak is close to 1,000 calories! I just had a bite of it…omg, my new favorite steak but with my whole weight loss thing I’ll just be having sample portions 😉

My order! Chilean sea bass in a tomato saffron broth. This was a featured item. I loved the broth sooo much I had to dip the bread in it. At least I know my diet weaknesses. I can do without the steak but the bread…ohhhhh, I have this obsession with Capital Grille’s bread basket…

Crispbread, cheese bread, pumpernickel raisin bread, poppey bread, whipped butter…

Side dishes, these are great ideas to make at home and easy!

Delcious caffeine and assorted desserts. Chocolate mocha mousse…o.m.g.!
If you’re looking for a classy NYC restaurant with consistent, high-quality food, this location is 5-stars all the way!
