Can we just please have a moment of silence to discuss my favorite person on YouTube? With an ever-engaging charisma and a contagiously positive energy, PatrickStarrr is the greatest gift to the world of makeup on YT. And I do mean “gift!” Watching his tutorials are like opening a present filled with sparkling knowledge and inspiration. My favorite tip is “your nails are always on even when your makeup isn’t!” Glamorous nails can top off the most casual of looks. It only makes sense that he would collaborate with Formula X Nail Polish! Formula X has created one month only curated collections in very limited quantities. All of their products are cruelty and three free! They have twice the shine and twice the staying power over other brands.As Patrick recounted, last July he was dreaming of the day he would become a celebrity makeup artist and at the same time received an e-mail from Formula X to create colors. He describes the whole experience as surreal. I hate doing my nails every two days, these polishes last a good 5 days for me and I can never decide what color to wear. As you can tell, I’m partial to the Patrick Starrr collection but Formula X also has equally beautiful curator-collaborated lines with Ballet Beautiful and Cupcakes and Cashmere. Cupcakes and Cashmere created three polishes that are classic and versatile: peachy-pink, red and beige: Haute Sauce, Peach Tea, Latte Run. I can’t get over how amazing the names are. I’ve worn Peach Tea 3x’s already!
Ballet Beautiful reminds me of the classic shades I like to wear when I’m cooking a lot. I’m a former Essie Ballet Slippers enthusiast. I thought it was the best shade ever until I realized how bad the formulation is – it chips more than any nail polish I’ve used and I got sick of having to repaint constantly.
